Facts About The Starving Children
You all have seen them on streets, children without a home asking for money, for food, or just walking around. Moreover than that, not only the urban homeless children are the only ones that are starving. In fact , according to the statistics, most of the starving children are the ones from the third world countries, especially from the rural places.
Only in South Africa, country that is also known as the place of the most AIDS patients, there are more than 100,000 of starving children. Let's count more: almost one million of starving children in India, between 100,000 and 300,000 in Bangladesh, Philippines and Vietnam and so on.
What is the fault of these children? And most of all, why are they still starving if there are so many charity organizations?
They don't have a fault. If you can blame them because they've been born in poor countries, and also, by poor parents, ok, then they are guilty as charged. Otherwise, there is no motive.
And to answer at the second question, it is a little bit more difficult. Even if there are lots of self named charity organizations, how do we know that they are honest, and that they aren't just washing money? From what is speculated, about 50% from the funds of such organizations have the provenience from the black market. The only thing we know is that, despite the efforts of the American and European authorities, there are still a lot of starving children.
On the other hand, let's take the case of South Africa. First of all, 1 of 4 people from there is infected with Aids. This means that more than 25,000 of the starving/homeless people are also infected with AIDS, therefore their life expectancy isn't too big at all. Why is this happening? Because the former president delayed the start of the anti-AIDS treatment and prevention, and nowadays, despite the efforts that are made, not too many things can be done.
So, what can be done for the starving children from all over the world? Well, we can press the charity organizations to show all the funds, to show bills and lutes and so on. Also, if possible, we should try and donate at least a little amount of money. After all, few dollars can save a life of a child, therefore, from time to time, we can renounce at a pack of cigarettes and donate the money to a charity organization.
Things That Can Be Done For The Starving Children
Whenever the starving children problem interferes in a discussion, everybody seems to offer compassion and speaks about how sad it's the situation. What's the common thing that is always told in such a discussion? "It's a pity that no one seems to do something for them. They are just starving." Exactly, everybody waits for some other people to make a move, to help the children. Meanwhile, nobody moves a thing for them and the children are still starving.
Therefore, what can be done for the starving children?
First of all, look, to be honest with you, the best way to help the starving children is to help the ones that are near you. Even if there are still people who don't have what to eat in the far East or far South, the only ones you have to worry about are the ones from your area.
How can you help them? Well, the first thing that you can do for them is to offer them food, as this is the only one vital to their survival. Come on, it's like giving away some dollars that you usually spend on sweets. Don't they worth? Of course they do, as the worth of a child can't be measured in money.
Second, if you really care, you can try to give to their parents little jobs around the house. And also, your friends can do the same. They will be more than satisfied to earn some money and also, they will be extremely thankful. Though, be really careful, as some of the parents of such starving children are letting their children without food on purpose, just to make them look awful so that they can be more "productive" at begging. This is why people you should find out as much as you can about the people that you are about to help.
Thirdly, try to bring some journalists in the area where starving children can be found. If a reportage about them gets on the front page of a newspaper, then most probably some rich guy or organization will like to get some attention from the press and will help the poor children. Even if this method is a little bit more unorthodox, it is effective and will really help the children as they will get a generous aid.
